The military’s top officer will respond to troops’ questions on Facebook on Thursday.

Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will hold the virtual town hall-style meeting for 30 minutes beginning at 3:15 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday.

Troops can post questions on Dempsey’s official Facebook page.

Dempsey is likely to get a lot of questions about the ongoing drawdown that is forcing some service members out of the military, as well as the recent proposals to overhaul military compensation.
